This is an excerpt from Rob's autobiography:
"Life is unpredictable. We live every minute without knowing what the following second has waiting. We all live blindfolded in the world that we create around ourselves, and each event is considered coincidence to the average man. If you look at things from the other angle however, from the opposite side, and ask yourself about the reason for what has just happened, you begin to understand that the moment you are living in has a point. We try to forget things that we dislike and cherish those that we enjoy, but in actuality each moment is just as important as the previous and even more important than the following.
Many people spend a lifetime looking for a purpose, a place to shelter their inner selves...
I have had the experiences at this age to realize the true meaning of the phrases someone always has it worse, be grateful for what God has dealt you, everything in your life is what was placed there, and what you have is all that you need. We all have our problems with family, with money, and with the skeletons that we have hiding in our closet ... but life continues. There will always be a tomorrow until the one almighty says otherwise, and the only thing that you can do is be happy for what you have.
The purpose of me writing a story about myself is ... [based on the] hope that a person out there will be inspired, will gain the strength to wake up the next morning and will be grateful for what they have. My life has been a walk in the park compared to many children in the world, and it has been unbelievable to others. I just know that what I have been given is what I have gotten and that I can't change the outcomes and can't predict the future.
Each and every person comes into this world with eyes full of wonder and fear for the new and unknown surroundings that engulf them. This never changes, and even though we lose the tears and learn to smile, we still worry subconsciously about what the next moment is, and we never see the same moment twice.
You have two choices in life, either lay down and die or get up and go. There is no point in dwelling on your misfortunes; the point is to share your love for others, no matter what."
